What does watching sad movies do to you?
Last weekend, we watched movies almost one after the other. The sad movies just overwhelmed me. The one comedy we have seen did not balance out the sad ones.
On saturday, we watched Cold Mountain. After that, we went out for our post-Valentine dinner. Since we still had time after dinner, dear hubby decided to buy new DVD releases, Mr.Woodcock , We Own The Night, Gone Baby Gone and Becoming Jane. We watched Mr.Woodcock, a comedy, before going to bed on Saturday night. Next day, we watched the sad movies.
On sunday night, trivial incidents that happened in my life became overblown in my mind as I went to bed and I became really dramatic. I was snuggling with my baby so tightly, crying over different stuffs, even those that never happened to me and over all the what-ifs that could but most probably never happen to me. I was just dramatic, too overwhelmed with sadness. I even forgot about the guitar incident that happened that day.

I think the saddest movie I ever watched was The Bridges of Madison County. I cried all the rest of that night and started up all over again the next morning.
I just posted news of a contest I’m having for Heads Or Tails players.
wow last weekend I did the same thing! Snuggled up on the couch and watched movies. Sorry you were so sad, I can imagine sad movies bringing to the forefront of your mind sadness…….:(

i was crying on sunday too while watching MMK (KC’s episode).
sad movies.. they make me cry.
I hate sad movies. I’m like you…I cry for days. Life is sad enough without adding to it. If I gonna watch a movie, I want to watch one that makes me feel good.
Sorry you were so sad.
I like sad movies sometimes – they can really provide a release…
I don’t mind them too much, but they can be overwhelming, especially if they are based on true incidents. They sometimes remind me that I have a lot to be thankful for. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a wonderful week! Aloha!!
You are going on my blog roll too!!
Hi C–so many real things that can make us sad—I tend to stay away from the sad movies (smile).
that’s why I try to avoid sad movies. I prefer romantic comedy… thus, the Korean drama
