Hopes for 2008

I just know that 2008 will be a better year for me and my family. It just holds so much possibilities! There will be more love, openness and understanding between me and my husband and more love and tender loving care for our beloved son, Matthew. There will be a lot of opportunities for fun, friendships and learning.

I expect that there will be difficulties. After all, my husband is retiring and will be venturing a new career this year. This will bring changes in our lives. Changes can be difficult and scary sometimes. There is no certainties on what lies afterwards. I have to admit that right now, I feel a little intimidated, curios and especially nervous about this up-coming transition. But I have high hopes that everything will be manageable. I am positive! I am scared but positive and open to all possibilities. This transition will bring us a lot of opportunities for something different and nice to come along and would definitely bring our family closer.

Also, some possibilities for 2008 could be a new career not only for my husband but for me too, or an extension to our family. It could also be trips to places or countries I’ve never been or coming home. Whatever possibilities this year holds, I have high hopes that everything will be better than they are right now and I look forward to every bit of it.

As for my loved ones in the Philippines, for my mother, I hope and pray that this year she finally find (or be found by) the man who will love her for the rest of her life, who will become her loving companion. For my sister, Jessica, the man of her dreams and career (higher paying job). For my brother, JC, I pray for good peers who will inspire and help him finish his college studies. For all my relatives in the Philippines, more tolerance and understanding!

For all my friends, I hope for more happiness and meaning in their lives! For my blogging friends, more inspiration!

    Positive vibes for 2008! I like it. It will be a year of transition for you, I’m sure. Last year was my year of major changes and I am hoping for a calmer one this year but with the thought of adding a baby later this year, I guess my family will be busier for sometime.
