Do you think you have a different or extra-nice behavior at Christmas time? What extra-nice gesture do you do?
People should be nice all year round, but it is at Christmas time that people seems extra-nice. It’s probably the Christmas spirit in the air, the cheerful decorations and the bright lights that gives us the warm feeliing and makes us smile; the anticipation for togetherness for families and thought from gift giving. And for the Christian faithfuls, Christmas is the reminder that God has manifested His love for us though the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ. And what better way to acknowledge this but by bieng extra-nice! For some people though, for these same reasons, they become cranky, sad, stressed and anti-nice!
I have seen my own relatives extend ‘forgiveness‘ at Christmas time. I grew up among relatives and I have witnessed so much ‘drama’ among them(us), but come Christmas time and they start talking again from months long of not talking, ignoring and avoiding each other.
As for me, Christmas time is when I try to reclaim friendships, and try to make more friends or become more friendly (I am polite, courteous but not specifically friendly!) Also, it is when I am most outgoing, happy and excited!

I don’t have contact with very many people in my life (family, friends, etc.) so the ones I do have are always very important to me. I know that during the holidays, I make an extra effort to be kind and friendly to sales clerks, especially when so many people are grumpy. I’m always nice (since I really know how bad their jobs can be) but it’s amazing what a “You’re doing a great job” and a smile can do for their morale after a hard experience.

hi michelle, that’s a very good point to be nice with sales clerk. most of the time, i try my best to deal with them only when i really have to as quickly as possible. i just want to get out of their way and to have me as one less person they should deal with, especially at Christmas season. – charlotte
This is going to sound corny, but I really try to be kind all the time. Not that I’m always successful, but I try.
