Rose Red, Misery, The Shining..that was really disturbing because it plays with the human mind. Then there's also 1408 by John Cusack. I don't like scary movies too. I watch it without sounds. Maki loves it so before, we would watch it together with headsets..and I don't put on mine! :-) BTW, I do not categorize Butterfly Effect to be scary. I liked that movie actually though it's a little bit dragging. Jap horror movies? No, never I would not even try! I watched Dark Water (nihongo version) and had nightmares too.
